"Akilina Douthat, LMT, MPH

I am a licensed massage therapist with a background in public health and a strong commitment to client-centered, consent-positive care. My clinical interests include prenatal massage, women’s health, fibromyalgia, gender-affirming bodywork, trauma-informed techniques, and complex chronic conditions. Clients often describe sessions with me as grounding, compassionate, and full of validating side-eye when needed.

Before becoming an LMT, I earned a Master of Public Health and worked in clinical research and epidemiology. That experience—combined with my own lived experience navigating chronic illness—deeply informs my hands-on approach. I bring sharp clinical intuition, gentle strength, and a no-BS softness to every session, especially for clients who have felt dismissed or misunderstood in traditional healthcare settings.
